Ingredients
  

Dough
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed if frozen
  • 0.25 cup salted butter
  • 0.25 cup sugar
  • 4 pieces apples peeled, cored, quartered

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out puff pastry, trim, cut slits, and refrigerate.
  3. Melt butter in oven-safe pan over medium heat, add sugar, and cook until golden caramel.
  4. Add apples, soften for 10 minutes, then flip and cook another 8–10 minutes.
  5. Lay pastry over apples, tuck edges, and bake for 20 minutes until golden.
  6. Flip tart onto a plate while hot, then cool slightly before serving.
