Ingredients

  • 115 g butter unsalted
sugar
  • 200 g white sugar
eggs
  • 2 units eggs
vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
cocoa powder
  • 40 g unsweetened cocoa powder
flour
  • 60 g all-purpose flour
salt
  • 1.25 g salt
baking powder
  • 1.25 g baking powder
butter (for frosting)
  • 45 g butter, softened
cocoa powder (for frosting)
  • 25 g unsweetened cocoa powder
honey
  • 15 g honey
vanilla extract (for frosting)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
confectioners’ sugar
  • 125 g confectioners’ sugar

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour an 8-inch pan.
  2. Melt butter over low heat. Remove, stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla.
  3. Add cocoa, flour, salt, baking powder. Mix gently.
  4. Pour batter into pan, bake 25–30 min. Cool 10 min.
  5. Mix frosting ingredients until smooth. Spread over warm brownies.
  6. Let frosting set. Cut with hot knife for clean edges.
