Method
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment or silicone mat.
- Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy (~4 min).
- Add egg and vanilla, beat until smooth.
- Whisk flour, oats, baking soda, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to wet, mix on low.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough (~1.5 tbsp per cookie) onto sheet, 5 cm apart.
- Chill for 30 min if desired.
- Bake 10–12 min until edges are golden.
- Cool on sheet 5 min, then transfer to wire rack.
