Method
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Halve or quarter tomatoes, place cut-side up on tray. Drizzle with 2 tbsp oil, salt, pepper. Roast 30–40 min.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in pot. Sauté onion 5 min. Add garlic, paprika, red pepper flakes. Cook 2 min.
- Add roasted tomatoes (with juices), broth, and basil. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning.
- Serve hot with desired toppings.
