Ingredients
  

Pasta
  • 8 oz dry fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 can (3.75 oz) sardines in tomato sauce
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 1 lemon juice of 1 lemon
  • to taste red pepper flakes Red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt Salt

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente (about 8 minutes).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onion 3 mins.
  3. Add garlic, cook 1 min until fragrant.
  4. Stir in sardines and tomato sauce. Heat 3 mins.
  5. Drain pasta and toss into the skillet. Mix and let sit off heat, covered, for 3 mins.
  6. Finish with lemon juice, top with Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Serve.
