Ingredients
  

Dry ingredients
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
Wet ingredients
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 egg egg
  • 0.666 cup milk

Method
 

  1. Whisk dry ingredients together.
  2. Make a well, add egg, melted butter, and most of the milk.
  3. Whisk until smooth, adding more milk if needed for thick, pourable batter.
  4. Rest batter 5 minutes.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat, lightly grease.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter, shape into rounds.
  7. Cook 2 minutes until bubbles form.
  8. Flip and cook 30 seconds to 1 minute until golden.
  9. Serve warm with toppings.
