Ingredients

  • 500 g ground turkey lean
  • 60 g breadcrumbs panko recommended
  • 1 large egg
  • 50 g onion very finely minced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 15 g fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Olive oil spray
  • Lettuce, tomato, red onion, cheese, burger sauce for serving

Equipment

  • gordon ramsay food

Method

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, egg, finely minced onion, garlic, chopped parsley, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently mix all ingredients with your hands until just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form them into patties, about 2 cm thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from bulging during cooking.
  4. Preheat your gordon ramsay food to 190°C (375°F). Lightly spray the basket with olive oil.
  5. Carefully place the turkey patties in a single layer in the gordon ramsay food basket. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your appliance.
  6. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F) and the burgers are golden brown and cooked through.
  7. If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last 2 minutes of cooking until melted.
  8. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast your burger buns, if desired.
  9. Assemble your burgers with your favourite toppings like crisp lettuce, juicy tomato slices, red onion, and a dollop of your preferred burger sauce. Enjoy!
