Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 2 cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 cups frozen green beans
  • 1 cup sliced celery
Dairy & Fats
  • cup butter
  • cup diced onion
  • cup all-purpose flour
Seasonings & Liquids
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp celery seed
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 ¾ cups chicken broth
  • 1 ⅓ cups milk
Main Protein
  • 4 cups cubed cooked turkey
Dough
  • 2 14.1 oz packs of double-crust pie dough

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Boil peas, carrots, beans, and celery for 8 mins. Drain and set aside.
  3. Melt butter, cook onion until soft (5 mins).
  4. Stir in flour and spices. Cook 1 min. Whisk in broth and milk. Thicken (3–5 mins). Remove from heat.
  5. Stir in turkey and vegetables. Season to taste.
  6. Line pie dishes with bottom crusts. Divide filling. Add top crusts. Seal edges and cut slits.
  7. Bake 15 mins. Cover crust if browning too fast. Bake 15–20 mins more. Rest 10 mins. Serve hot.
