Method
- Heat butter over medium‑low until melted.
- Add apples, sugar, lemon juice; stir till sugar dissolves (~2 min).
- Cover, simmer on low for 12–15 min, stirring occasionally.
- Uncover and simmer 2 min to thicken; add salt and optional spice.
Notes
Store in fridge up to 5 days. Reheat gently with a splash of water.
